Marco Forster Families,

I am both honored and excited to  join this great community as Principal of Marco Forster Middle School. I come to the Marco team having had many unique experiences as an educator including several years teaching middle school, high school, and college level science courses, as well as working as an administrator at both the middle and high school level.  Outside of school, during typical times, you might find me coaching youth sports locally or spending time with my husband and our four sons, ages 4, 6, 8, and 10. I am incredibly grateful for the opportunity to serve the Marco students, staff, and families and continue the essential work of fostering character and academic excellence for all Marco scholars, whether in person or online.

These new times have presented many changes, and countless challenges for families.  It is my hope that in the midst of these trials you and your family have remained healthy this summer, and have been able to find some time to slow down to foster relationships with those you love most. As a parent of a pre-teen myself, I can appreciate that these are especially difficult times for adolescent children who thrive on structure and are in great need of adult guidance. Because of this, I know that there are many questions about what the 2020-2021 school year will hold. While I may not have answers to all of these questions yet, I commit fully to you that our team will do everything we can to provide you with updated information as we get it.

I couldn't be more proud to be joining such a strong and wonderful family. I look forward to partnering with each of you to embrace the journey ahead of us. Stay tuned for more details, and please do not hesitate to reach out.

Sincerely,

Catherine Thompson
